Breakdown by Room

Entry & Hallway:

The challenge in working in this 1910 Edwardian flat was trying to satisfy all of the clients requests: -preserve the history and architecture -update the space -bring color to all the white walls The less is more approach was used to tackle the hall that runs through the entire flat. Original wood work and wall paper comprised the wainscotting and oak floors believed to be original to the home as well, were features that needed to be highlighted. Color was brought in in the form of an earthy beige glaze that was hand applied and finished by Jennifer Haley, over the existing white walls. The effect created was a sophisticated ode to the past and present where the walls became art itself.

    • Jennifer haley
